07Nuvi Mehta's Final Concert (repeats 3/11)

       The longest-serving Principal Guest Conductor of the Marquette Symphony Orchestra, Nuvi Mehta (nephew of the great conductor Zubin Mehta), conducts his final performance of the Marquette Symphony in this week's Superiorland Concerts Program.

 

14Two Early Marquette Symphony Orchestra Concerts (repeats 3/18)

            Highlights from two early concerts by the Marquette Symphony Orchestra are featured this week.

 

21Dvorak and the Marquette Symphony (repeats 3/25)

       Two symphonies and a cello concert by Dvorak are featured, this week, from three different Marquette Symphony Orchestra concerts.

 

28Romantic Music With Soloists (repeats 4/1)

       This 2007-08 season Marquette Symphony concert features music in the Romantic style, conducted by former NMU music professor David Cole, with four soloists: Nancy Redfern on harp, Barbara Rhyneer on violin, Robert Ritsema on cello, David Cole on bassoon; and the orchestra will be playing Howard Hanson's Symphony No. 2, the "Romantic" symphony.
